I am an engineer working in the tech industry. If you are a recreational runner in India who has been around for a few years, then it’s a very good chance that you have heard about Puru.

I was impressed with the pacing strategy that Puru followed, and the pacing bands he gave as free gifts to the community. I have been following him since then and read all his blogs. I was impressed with his views on exercise, lifestyle and healthspan. I was setting my PBs across distances in 10k, HM and FMs even before meeting Puru. However I knew that something was amiss, and my main intention of working with Puru was to work on my ROTI (Return on Time Invested).

As an engineer, I loved Puru’s method – of logging and measuring as many things as possible. You can only improve what you measure! Puru’s ability to meet you where you are and personalize the strategy stands out. I haven’t come across anyone who you can nerd out with about any topic under the sun, be it nutrition, exercise, lifestyle, career advice, life advice, investment advice etc. I was able to quit alcohol for good and went plant-based in a matter of months. I learnt how to manage my body weight while I travel and socialize. I was able to further improve my PBs in 10k and HM distances while cutting down on the time spent on training. My strength numbers went up and body fat dropped. Despite neither of us being Jains, he guided me through my first 9-day water-only fast during Paryushan, which felt like a walk in the park. There was a significant improvement in my performance at work and my relationship with my wife became even better.

Puru teaches me the ‘why’ behind everything we do, which makes you a learner and not just blindly follow. Best of all, he is a true well-wisher who would have your back and you can count on him. Don’t hesitate to work with Puru and your life will definitely change for the better.
